![]() ![]() Noob question: are audio files unsupported? Again, I never used audio files in TMM or Kodi, but isn't this supposed to work out of the box? Or do I need to enable something in order to import. However, while the "normal" specials were all correctly scraped from, the audio files / podcasts are not recognized and skipped. Once a movie or TV show has been imported into Kodi, Kodi does not react on. An NFO plug-in is also available for Opus, an open access repositories software. Lately, I wanted to add the tv-show "The Last of Us" and with it, add all "Specials" which are listed on : īeside a couple of Behind the Scenes Special episodes, there are also some Podcasts listed which I ripped from YouTube (discussing each episode). Youll python xbmc 7 comments The Movie Database is a community. NFO files are also used by media managers ViMediaManager, tinyMediaManager, Ember Media Manager, CouchPotato - a usenet and torrents client, MediaElch, TV show organiser Media Companion, digital media library manager Media Center Master. So, there is no perfect box on the moment on the market, and we have the only option to choose, which problem we prefer to have - with playback, with UI, with library organising or with some hardware (number of in- and outputs) limitations.Since starting to use TMM some years ago, I exclusively managed video files for movies and tv-shows with it. BTW AppleTV can not play 24.000 not only with AFR, but without (switched off) as well. ![]() And it's a pity, because from all other points of view it is, probably, the best box on the market. Yes, it supports normal computer logic of library structure and not the logic of modern wheel reinventors, but they have AFR, which ignores the difference between 23.xxx and 24.000 and plays everything as 23.xxx, and I, at least on the moment, stay with Z and trying to find the ways to bypass their logic (or better to say absence of it) or perform dances with tambourine to force it work. But Apple also is not (REALLY NOT) perfect. It doesn't work even the way how THEY want (at least declare) and you want it to work how YOU want it. Of course, the way how Zidoo organise the library is sort of torture, created by poor professionals. I'm happy to manage it in TMM but I'm getting frustrated at it rescraping and changing my artwork after I've already curated it.Ĭlick to expand. And AppleTV, and WDTV(unfortunately abandoned at all). My movie server runs Plex which is superior in catalog management to HT4 but I really like the environment and movie wall / movie sheets of HT4 better. I purchased a second Z9S so I could try this all out and get the movie management corrected. Maybe you can type up your quick setup, if you don't mind. If you don’t want Kodi also to contact external sites for meta data, you should set the Information provider to Local information only. Im starting to get into jellyfin too, its very cool. Then update library and it pulls everything in. In kodi, in your sources, set it to use local information ie the nfo generated by tinymediamanager. This tool is aimed at people that manually curate their movie databases, in order to avoid using scrapers that may pull in the wrong information (or none at all). nfo files for movies that Kodi can use for its library. Will HT4 know how to build this collection without having to use the web/UI interface? I was able to get some of the collections managed correctly (Aliens had all of the standard Alien movies plus Prometheus and Alien Covenant, which are defined as Prometheus collection in HT4 in an initial scrape.) Kodi natively supports NFO files - all you have to do is to prepare them with tinyMediaManager and set your data source as source in Kodi. Then use tinymediamanager to scan the drives and it will get pictures and generate a nfo file for the video file. The kodi-nfo-generator is a simple Python-based command-line tool that allows you to generate. Should it be another selection?)Ģ) If so, is it a scraping configuration setting in TMM that will work? (Scrape, Directors but not Writers etc.)ģ) I want to manage my collections in TMM because it's much easier. I also use Kodi latest revision in TMM for my NFO files. I did that as well so now I have a "known good" HT4 NFO file.ġ) Can HT4 handle a TMM created NFO file correctly? (Since it is supposed to be based on Kodi I would think it could. ![]() I understand what we said about exporting the NFO file. It then "rematches" the movie and scrapes new artwork to cache and overwrites the artwork I have in my local folders. It seems that when it scraps my NFO files (created by TMM) sometimes it doesn't read the NFO file correctly and thinks it a different movie. That way I can also check and see what the downloaded artwork looks like. I use a dedicated movie server, so set up the Custom Directory as well. ![]()
